Asian Development Bank’s Evaluation Reports 

It provides a catalogue of evaluation reports on policies, strategies, programs, and projects of ADB.  These reports comprise of the following: Annual Evaluation Reviews, Country Assistance Program Evaluations, Sector Assistance Program Evaluations, Corporate and Thematic Evaluations, Impact Evaluations, Project/Program Performance Evaluations, Sector-wide Evaluations, Technical Assistance Performance Evaluation Reports, Validations of Project Completion Reports, Validations of Country Partnership Strategy Final Review, Validation of Technical Assistance Completion Reports, Topical Papers, Working Papers, Synthesis Notes.

 

Chan Robles Virtual Law Library 

It contains full text of Philippine laws, statutes and codes, and Supreme Court decisions. It also provides worldwide online legal resources and useful sites for legal, government, business and educational research.

 

Country Commerce Guides on Export.gov (International Trade Administration)

It provides reports on market conditions, opportunities, regulations, and business customs for over 125 countries prepared by trade and industry experts at U.S. embassies worldwide.

 

Doing Business (The World Bank)

It provides objective measures of business regulations and their enforcement across 189 economies and selected cities at the subnational and regional level. The detailed subnational reports provide data on the ease of doing business, rank each location, and recommend reforms.

 

Economic and Social Database (ESD) 

It is one of the databases that PIDS maintains as part of its policy research strategy and mandate as a repository of economic research information. Started in 1995, the ESD is an in-house project that has been constantly upgraded to make its interface more user-friendly and contents more relevant to the research community and the public in general. 

 

Geographic Information Systems

It is the latest initiative from the Philippine Institute for Development Studies in its effort to establish an automated, internet-based and user-friendly database system. The GIS provides a unique way of viewing and analyzing spatial data by presenting it in a geographical format. Full color maps reveal patterns and relationships that will allow users of data to view information in a new perspective. Maps on this site contain socio-economic indicators such as Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), Unemployment Rate, and Poverty Incidence. Other social indicators like Infant Mortality Rate, Cohort Survival Rate and NEAT/NSAT results are also included. Data for these indicators may be viewed on the national, regional and provincial level.

 

INDUSTRY.GOV.PH

This website aims to serve as a central portal on industry policies, programs, and initiatives affecting manufacturing and other major sectors of the economy. It also contains specific sectoral roadmaps, economic and industry indicators, and industry resources including news reports, research papers, and related documents such as the Investment Priorities Plan.

 

Labordoc 

It provides ILO books, journal articles, reports, and working papers on all aspects of work and sustainable livelihoods, and the work-related aspects of economic and social development and human rights.

 

LawPhil 

It contains digital resources of Philippine laws, statutes, case law, presidential decrees and other legal materials.  This legal website of the Arellano Law Foundation also provides background information to the Philippine court system including court rules and legal ethics.  Information pertaining to Philippine Congress is given along with legal news and developments and a directory of government bodies.

 

NORMLEX (Database of International Labour Standards) 

It offers information on International Labour Standards (such as ratification information, reporting requirements, comments of the ILO’s supervisory bodies, etc.) as well as national labour and social security laws. 

 

National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) 

It features the economic researches of public policymakers, business professionals, and the academic community.  The focus areas for the Bureau’s research are: new statistical measurements, estimating qualitative models of economic behavior, assessing the effects of public policy on the US economy, and projecting the effect of alternative policy proposals.

 

Open Data Philippines

It provides datasets from different Philippine Government Agencies that are deemed “open”. The datasets are categorized by agency and by sector.  It also offers a basic data visualization feature that helps users in  understanding the government datasets. Additional information about the data are provided via metadata.

 

OpenSTAT

It is an open data platform powered by PC-AXIS, a user-friendly application for presenting statistical data and metadata coupled by API and visualization features.  This system allows the Philippine Statics Authority (PSA) to share data under an open data license where data can be freely used, re-used and redistribute by anyone without restrictions other than proper source attribution.

 

Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS)

It offers outstanding studies on trade and industrial policies, which helped the government to formulate its trade liberalization, privatization and deregulation policies.

 

Philippine Journals Online 

It is a database of journals published in the Philippines, covering the full range of academic disciplines. The objective of Philippine Journals Online is to give greater visibility to the participating journals, and to the research they convey.”

 

Philippine National Trade Repository (PNTR)

It offers a single source of comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date information on all trade related matters e.g. import, export etc. It provides  the list of Regulated Import Commodities and required licenses and permits. 

 

Socioeconomic Research Portal for the Philippines (SERP-P)

It is an online knowledge resource that contains socioeconomic studies and materials produced by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) and other academic and research institutions. Its establishment is in line with PIDS’ mandates of providing a common link between the government and research institutions, and of establishing a repository of socioeconomic research information.

It is a portal that provides export data and services for existing and aspiring Philippine exporters to access the latest trade statistics, be part of the buyers and suppliers database, meet foreign buyers through real-time business matching, download industry/market reports, and file and resolve export complaints.

 

World Bank Data

It provides comprehensive set of data on living standards around the globe, including hundreds of indicators that go back 50 years. Databases include: World Development Indicators; Global Development Finance; Africa Development Indicators; Global Economic Monitor; Doing Business; Education Statistics; Health, Nutrition and Population Statistics, Millennium Development Indicators; Gender Statistic; and Actionable Governance Indicators.

 

World DataBank: World Bank’s Open Data Initiative 

It offers open and free access to over 2,000 financial, business, health, economic and human development data for more than 200 countries, with the data going back to 50 years. Access to at least 20 World Bank Group databases, including: World Development Indicators, Global Development Finance, Global Economic Monitor, Actionable Governance Indicators, Doing Business Database, Health, Nutrition and Population Statistics.
